Our focus is local. Tri-Valley and East Bay homes share a few things in common, including hard water from EBMUD, Cal Water, and Zone 7, plenty of older housing stock, and EBMUD's sewer-lateral compliance rules. When to call a licensed plumber.
Plenty of small plumbing tasks are fine for a careful homeowner. Others are not. Anything involving the gas line, the main sewer lateral, a permit, or water you can't shut off is a job for a licensed pro. Our guides try to be honest about which is which.
